Ingredients firehouse stuffed jalapenos
12 large Jalapeños
10 oz Filipino sweet sausage (may substitute or change amount)
8 oz cream cheese softened
1 tsp minced garlic
1 seeds for heat
1 grated cheddar/jack cheese (may substitute)
1 salt and pepper to taste
how to make firehouse stuffed jalapenos
Preheat oven 400°F
Split peppers lengthwise and de-seed
Brown sausage, drain and put in bowl
Combine cheese, garlic, seeds for heat, salt and pepper to taste and hand mix with sausage
Spoon mixture into pepper halves
Place a small sprinkle of grated cheddar/jack on top of each pepper
Place peppers onto lined cookie sheet
* Remember to wash hands after handling seeds
Place in oven for 15-20 minutes or until cheese is browned
