unstuffed cabbage rolls



Ingredients unstuffed cabbage rolls


1 1/2 lb - 2 lbs of ground beef or turkey
1 tbsp oil (vegetable or olive)
1 each lg onion (chopped)
1 clove garlic (minced)
1 head small cabbage (chopped)
2 can (14.5 oz each) diced tomatoes
1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
1/2 cup water
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt

how to make unstuffed cabbage rolls


In large skillet heated with oil over medium heat, add ground beef and onion and stir until beef is no longer pink and onion is tender.


Add garlic and continue cooking for another minute.


Add cabbage, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, salt and pepper and bring to a boil.


Cover and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes until cabbage is tender.
