Ingredients quick tomatillo salsa verde sauce


2 lb tomatillos
4 serrano peppers
3 clove fresh garlic
5 tbsp fresh cilantro leaves
1/2 tsp salt
1 lime-freshly squeezed

how to make quick tomatillo salsa verde sauce


Remove the husks from the tomatillos, wash and put in a large pot.


Slice seranno peppers in half lengthwise and deseed (unless of course ya like the heat).


Peel garlic cloves


Add serano peppers and garlic to the pot of tomatillos.


Add just enough water to cover tomatillos.


Boil tomatillos, seranno peppers and garlic for about 15 minutes until tender.


Scoop out tomatillos, seranno peppers and garlic with a slotted spoon into a blender. Discard water.


Add cilantro, lime juice and salt and blend until well combined and you have a sauce consistency.


Pour into a covered dish and refrigerate until cool or serve warm. Serve with your favorite dishes or chips.
