
Ingredients orange sugared cranberries
1 1/2 cup Fresh cranberries
1 cup Sugar
1/2 cup Water
1 Zest of half an orange

In a small saucepan, combine water and 1/2 cup sugar. Bring to a boil.
Pour syrup over cranberries in shallow dish. Refrigerate one hour.
In a small bowl, combine remaking half cup sugar and the orange zest. Use a fork to incorporate, making sure to thoroughly mix zest in. There should be no clumps. Pour sugar onto a cookie sheet in a thin layer and allow it to dry some. I just left mine on the countertop until the berries were ready.
Remove cranberries from fridge and drain. Immediately roll in orange sugar mixture.
Allow to dry for at least 3-4 hours. Store in airtight container for up to 5 days.
