
Ingredients chicken and mushroom pie
4 chicken breasts (cut into cubes)
300 grams mushrooms
600 ml double cream
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 few dashes of black pepper
1/4 cup spring onions
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1 unsalted butter
2 tbsp plain/self raising flour
1 ready roll puff pastry
1 pinch of nutmeg powder
1 egg
how to make chicken and mushroom pie
First add the butter in a skillet and then add the chicken. Let it cook for 15 mins and then add the mushrooms and spring onions. Then cook the chicken and mushrooms until fully done.
Then add the double cream, salt, pepper, nutmeg powder, thyme and flour. Then mix everything and put the gas on full heat and keep stirring until the sauce thickens. Taste everything and if there is anything less then do add. (You can change the amount of chicken mushrooms or anything else in the recipe according to your like).
Then put everything in an oven dish then cover with the ready roll puff pastry and then egg wash on top. Then in the oven for 20-25 mins on gas mark 5.
Serve with mash potato and vegetables or salad.
