Ingredients apple pie with crumbled topping


1 frozen deep dish pie crust
Filling
3 Jonagold apples (cored peeled and sliced into 1/4" wedges)
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp ap flour
1 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground allspice
1 tsp vanilla extract
Topping
1 1/4 cup ap flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter (melted and cooled)

Preheat oven to 425°


Combine all Filling ingredients & let sit for 10 minutes


Whisk together all dry ingredients of Topping; pour butter over mixture & stir until blended


Pour apple mixture into pie crust (may be heaping) & cover with crumble topping


Bake for 20 minutes; reduce heat to 375° and bake for 40 more minutes (cover with foil loosely halfway through to prevent topping from burning)


Let cool for 10-15 minutes before serving
